Who we are

The founders

European Breeders Trust (EBT) was founded in 2017 by the breeders Karl-Heinz Stöckle, Gregor Aymar and Dr. Nils Ismer from Germany.

At the time of its founding, further experts from Arabian horse breeding joined: James Swaenepoel (Belgium), Giampaolo Gubbiotti (Italy), Raphael Curti (France), Marco Franchini (Italy), and Sven Schick (Germany).

How it all began

A small group of European breeders met in 2017 to discuss the challenges of Arabian horse breeding in Europe.

They decided to join forces and founded a joint-stock company to unite European breeders, develop joint solutions, and mobilize financial and political resources.

The goal was to stop the decline of Arabian horse breeding in Europe and create a sustainable foundation for the future.

Strong Partner: Arabian Futurity Europe

To ensure financial stability and professional support during the founding phase, Arabian Futurity Europe was involved as a strong partner and initial investor.

This non-profit organization already had over 15 years of experience in organizing breeding auctions and annual foal and yearling shows.

It guaranteed that future share issues for breeders would be based on fair and secure valuations.

Our Goals

EBT aims to improve the competitiveness of European Arabian horse breeding and to strengthen the marketing of Arabian horses.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a leading network in Europe that supports breeders at the highest level and assists them in their growth.

Our Measures

Measures include an annual auction that creates new sales opportunities and attracts international buyers, as well as access to outstanding stallions, specialized services and first-class resources. Through close partnerships and a comprehensive range of services, EBT helps breeders expand their programs, ensure the high quality of Arabian horse breeding, and create a sustainable future for the breed in Europe.
