Fees

The stud fee is __________ € for one breeding.
It must be paid in full by bank transfer to the account specified below within a maximum of 30 days after receipt of the contract upon signing. If payment is not made within this period, the contract becomes invalid. The stud fee is non-refundable.

The breeding certificate will only be issued if the mare is in foal, a heartbeat has been detected, and all fees have been paid in full, including shipping costs to Privilege SFQ BVBA.

Notification of pregnancy:
All pregnancies must be reported to Privilege SFQ between the 5th and 7th month of pregnancy.

Failure to comply with this deadline will result in an additional fee of €2,000, which must be paid before the foal certificate is issued. This measure is for transparency and to prevent late notifications with the intention of circumventing foal registration or providing false information.

The mare owner will receive an invoice for each service rendered, covering the costs for semen collection, shipping, and any required health certificates.

Liability

Privilege SFQ, as stallion manager, as well as its owners, agents, employees, and veterinarians, assume no liability for:

  • Diseases,

  • Injuries,

  • Theft or

  • Epidemics,
    that may affect the mare, the foal, or the semen.

Live Foal Guarantee (LFG)

The live foal guarantee only applies if the mare owner vaccinates the mare against EHV1,4 in the 5th, 7th, and 9th month of pregnancy.

The mare owner must present proof of vaccination when requesting a repeat breeding.

The guarantee expires if:

  1. No EHV vaccination records are provided.

  2. The mare is replaced without the written consent of the stallion manager.

  3. The mare does not become pregnant, has a miscarriage, or dies and the stallion owner is not informed.

Through the LFG, this contract entitles the mare owner to one covering and a certificate for a foal.

All amounts paid by the mare owner are non-refundable, subject to semen availability and the conditions set forth in this contract.

Breeding Conditions

The stallion owner reserves the right to have a mare that does not become pregnant after three estrus cycles examined for fertility.

The stallion owner may refuse to cover if:

  • the mare has a contagious or infectious disease, or

  • there is another valid reason.

If the breeding service is discontinued, the mare owner is obliged to propose another mare as a replacement to fulfill the contract conditions.

The stallion owner provides semen from the agreed stallion but does not guarantee its condition after leaving the stud. The mare owner is responsible for the proper handling, storage, and insemination of the mare.

Neither the stallion owner nor the stallion manager is liable for:

  • lost,

  • delayed, or

  • damaged semen.

Important Note:

This contract is only valid between the contracting parties and may not be sold or transferred to third parties. Therefore, this contract is non-transferable and non-resalable unless the stallion owner agrees in writing.
