This contract is entered into between:

Fees

  • The stud fee corresponds to the hammer price of the EBT Auction 2025

  • The cover certificate will be issued when:

    • the mare is pregnant,

    • a heartbeat has been detected and

    • all costs (including shipping costs to Privilege SFQ BVBA) have been paid.

The mare owner will receive an invoice after each service provided for:

  • Semen collection,

  • Shipping,

  • Health certificate (if required).

Pregnancy:
All pregnancies must be reported to Privilege SFQ between the 5th and 7th month.

  • If this deadline is not met, an additional fee of €2,000 will be charged, which must be paid before the cover certificate is issued.

  • This measure serves transparency and prevents late notifications with the aim of circumventing foal registrations or misrepresenting results.

Liability

Privilege SFQ as stallion owner as well as its owners, representatives, employees, and veterinarians assume no liability for:

  • Diseases,

  • Epidemics,

  • Theft or

  • Injuries,

that may affect the mare, the foal, or the semen during the contract period.

Live Foal Guarantee (LFG)

The LFG only applies under the following conditions:

  • The mare must be vaccinated against EHV1,4 in the 5th, 7th, and 9th month of pregnancy.

  • The mare owner must present the stallion owner with a certificate of these vaccinations when requesting a rebreeding.

The guarantee expires if:

  1. no proof of vaccination is provided,

  2. the mare is replaced by another without written consent,

  3. the mare does not become pregnant, miscarries or dies and the stallion owner is not informed as agreed.

Based on the LFG, this contract entitles the mare owner to one covering and one covering certificate for a foal.

All payments are non-refundable (in accordance with the provisions regarding semen availability).

Breeding Conditions

  • The stallion owner may require that a mare that does not become pregnant after three estrous cycles be gynecologically examined (culture/biopsy).

  • The stallion keeper may refuse the covering if the mare is ill or for another valid reason.

  • The stallion keeper supplies the semen of the agreed stallion, but does not guarantee the condition after leaving the farm.

  • The mare owner is responsible for:

    • proper handling,

    • storage, and

    • insemination.

Disclaimer:

  • Neither the stallion keeper nor the stallion owner are responsible for lost, delayed, or damaged semen.

  • The covering is carried out exclusively with fresh semen.

  • Frozen semen is not available for this covering.

  • Privilege SFQ accepts no responsibility for the unavailability of the stallion or of fresh semen.

Important Notes

  • This contract is only valid for the parties who have signed it.

  • It is not transferable and not for sale without the written consent of the stallion keeper.
